The Project Brief
Providing Public Toilets For A Thriving Shopping And Leisure District
In a joint venture by the London Borough of Camden and Morrisons PLC, the Hi-Tec Washrooms team was put to task with transforming the busy intersection at Chalk Farm Road. With high footfall from the proximity to Camden’s markets and nightlife venues, as well as both pedestrian and vehicular traffic requirements of the adjacent Supermarket, the goal was to create a public convenience which both served the local community and didn’t interfere with the everyday running of the thoroughfare.
A Hi-Tec Urilift Solution For A Complex Problem
Hi-Tec recognised the needs of both clients for the installation, and after planning and surveying the site knew exactly the solution. Prescribing a Combilift pop-up toilet, with extreme care for the positioning of the unit to make the installation and end use seamless, the team worked with extreme attention to detail to complete the installation with minimal interruption to the day to day function of the bustling street.
Serving The Whole Local Community With A Smart Public Toilet
The installed Combilift pop-up toilet accomplished all the set goals of the project, sitting underground out of sight in the day, the unit allows natural movement and doesn’t disturb the infamously trendy Camden aesthetic. When required the unit rises to attention, allowing access to all genders. This project marks yet another successful installation, with the latest public toilet technology Hi-Tec bring to the market exceeding the expectations set for it.
